Other products were used on the undercarraige, wheels. woodwork and roof and black paint hand polishing..

This truck was hand detailed from the bottom of the tires to the top of the truck.
All undercarraige was wiped down and conditioned.

Pre-polishing.

Roof was extremely dirty. Three microfibre wipedowns were required.

Most of the metalwork had mild to moderate corrosion.

Notice the condition of the brass.

Tires have an unknown product "protecting" the exterior. Unfortunately the interior of each tire has almost entirely given out via cracking of the sidewalls. This protective coating was not removed during this detail, but the interior was conditioned.

Before oxidation removal.

Oxidation removed, but not hand buffed at this stage.

Before, another spoke.

Before, with flash.

After, but not hand buffed.

Metal polish applied and buffed.

Second hand buffing of steering wheel spokes. Good sheen was produced.

Brass steering wheel cap has now been brought back from the dead.
Compare with previous picture.

Yes, that shiny metallic cylindrical object on the dash IS the fuel tank.
I failed to capture the oxidation on this fuel tank previously.
Somehow it wasonly mildly reflective from the last detail 6 months ago.

Start of fender restoration.

After hand polishing and wax application.

First coat of wax applied/removed.

Dusty motor.

A 5 minute rubdown/conditioning.

Notice apparent metal oxidation on mid to lower grillwork.

Oxidation removed, polished/protected.

Two different camera focuses.

Completed top to bottom detail.

Seriously, this is the fuel tank! LOL

Imagine how many hours it would take to degrade thesolid steel gas pedal like that?

The odd blue coloring is a digital camera artifact of the sun's reflection on the back of the headlight reflecting on the bulkhead panel. Compare with photo above.

For the purists out there, NO, this isn't the traditional logo of Del Monte Foods.
This logo is in fact covering another logo they decided NOT to remove during the restoration process in 1995.
That hidden logo is from a competitor from way back in the day..
