
What is detailing and why do I need this for my vehicle, regularly?
Detailing is the process of removing dirt or defects from specific surfaces and treating them according to their properties.
Back in the the 50's, 60's and 70's, it was common to see the whole family washing the car and putting on a coat or two of wax. Family photos regularly show such appreciation for the transportation.
As paint surfaces changed it has become harder as the decades have gone by to handle the swirls or scratches without advanced techniques or machinery.
The evolution of completely electronic vehicles aslo seems to have led to a buildup of static electricity. Iron ore is attracted to your paint like never before and bonds quickly to the surface of the paint. Clay is often used to remove this, but once removed the surface needs to be finely polished.
Over the counter products work, but only if they are used with the proper machines, something the weekend warrior doesn't always have, or have time to do.
